Tuition for a full year of academic study is due in two installments, one per semester (payable within the first week of scheduled classes). This applies to students participating in all three departments of education: Specialization, Musicianship, and Performance. Payments may be made on a monthly basis as well, installments being due the first week of each month.

Students wishing to further specialize in the instrument of their choice may partake in our Accelerated Program. This track of study is available to those who are pursuing instrumental mastery and have demonstrated a genuine commitment to excellence. Such students are given two lessons per week, at a modified tuition rate. Those who demonstrate exemplary progress in the Accelerated Program may, at the recommendation of faculty, skip to the next appropriate grade-level.

The tuition amount, therefore, is determined according to the enrollment program of choice. The current tuition schedule is as follows:

  • One 30-minute session of private instruction,
    Plus up to 4 classes of group instruction per week:

  • Two 30-minute sessions of private instruction,
    Plus up to 4 classes of group instruction per week:
    $1,675/Semester (5 payments of $335)

grade level ii through iv

  • One 45-minute session of private instruction,
    Plus up to 7 classes of group instruction per week:
    $1,200/Semester (5 payments of $240)
  • Two 45-minute sessions of private instruction,
    Plus up to 7 classes of group instruction per week:
    $1,850/Semester (5 payments of $370)

grade level vii through x

  • One 60-minute session of private instruction,
    Plus up to 10 classes of group instruction per week:
    $1,375/Semester (5 payments of $275)
  • Two 60-minute sessions of private instruction,
    Plus up to 10 classes of group instruction per week:
    $2025/Semester (5 payments of $405)

auditing (ages 18+ only)

Instrument Specialization Only

  • One 30-minute session of private instruction per week:
    $650/Semester (5 payments of $130)
  • Two 30-minute sessions of private instruction per week:
    $1,300/Semester (5 payments of $260)

Non-specialization

Students not specializing in an instrument may sign up for musicianship and performance classes only $500/Semester ($100/month)

summer session

Musicianship and Performance courses are not offered during Lark’s Summer Session.
Fees for continuation of specialization courses during the summer: $260 for two months.

Students who wish to take an additional instrument must pay an additional $650/semester (5 payments of $130) for each instrument after the first (regardless of their Grade Level).
